iPad and Bump Armor Case #7 "Ann...

Help our class phase in newer, more compatible iPads. The iPads that students currently use are being phased out by Apple. First graders use iPads daily to listen to stories being read to them, to read their own leveled books and answer comprehension questions, to explain their thinking, to create products and practice skills. They are able to share this learning in real time with their parents and family members via the Seesaw app. With an updated version of the iPad, students will continue to use this technology in our classroom without interruption due to outdated programs and equipment. I am requesting one iPad to help me reach this year's goal of replacing at least half of my current iPads with updated iPads.

Life's a Mystery! "Peacock, Dianna"

Children ask so many questions about how things work and why things happen the way they do! MYSTERY SCIENCE is a subscription website that includes a weekly video with a hands-on activity. Students deepen their understanding of two foundational scientific practices: making observations and asking questions. It helps them "train their brains" by observing an everyday object and asking questions like a scientist would. Third grade teachers desire to nurture this curiosity in our classrooms, and MYSTERY SCIENCE provides us with the explanations to all their questions!

Every Book in its Place "Jennife...

Our classroom library is expanding! My students love to choose "just right" books from our classroom library. Books are easier to locate and choose when they are well-organized. We need durable, colored coded bins to house our books. We'll truly have a place for every book so that every book can be in its place.

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin Using math manipulatives helps make abstract math concepts concrete for our 1st grade students. Students will learn the meaning of equal while while using these math balances. These math balances can be used to demonstrate the meaning of equal sets. I'm requesting 2 primary balances and 2 math balances. Help make abstract math thinking concrete with these balances for our class.

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin Using math manipulatives helps make abstract math concepts concrete for our 1st grade students. Students benefit from using hands-on manipulatives to understand math concepts. These math manipulatives will be used by my students during guided math groups and individual math stations. I am requesting 2 sets of math worm counters, 2 sets of number cubes, 1 set of attribute buttons, 1 sets of multiple representation dice, and 1 Roll a Sum game.

Record our Thinking #7

We record our thinking and learning on the Seesaw app nearly every day in class. With so many kids recording voices at the same time, background noise sometimes makes our recordings hard to hear. We’re requesting 1 microphone to help make our recordings sound more clear.
